A 10kw MW transmitter for the NGI region was officially commissioned at the Kurakakaul Transmitter Farm, East New Britain Province by Minister for ICT, Hon. Timothy Masiu, and ENB Governor Hon. Michael Marum.
The commissioning was witnessed by the Provincial Administrator Mr Levi Mano, NBC Managing Director Mr Kora Nou, NBC Board Member Mr Chris Mora, and a huge crowd of local and Provincial leaders.
This new transmitter represents a significant step towards enhancing communication coverage and quality across the NGI region.
Minister Masiu stated that the transmitter will provide residents with improved access to radio and television services, facilitating information dissemination and fostering greater connectivity.
“One more transmitter will be launched at Bubia in Lae, Morobe Province for the Momase region,” Minister Masiu stated.
